Saturday, May 9, 2020: Departure

Zeebruges (BELGIQUE)

Departure from the port of Zeebrugge in Belgium at the end of the day on Saturday 9 May 2020 to board the ferry to England. Crossing provided by the P&O Ferries Company: dinner and overnight on board.

THE STAGES

Sunday, May 10, 2020: Stage 1

Hull – Kinlochard

Arrival at the British port of Hull in the early morning. A first stage in crossing the north of England before entering Scottish territory. We will have lunch in Moffat and in the afternoon, we will join our hotel located in the Trossachs National Park near Aberfoyle.

Monday, May 11, 2020: Stage 2

Kinlochard – Elgin

Our second stage will take us to Braemar, a historic Scottish village where we will have lunch in the restaurant of the very artistic hotel “The Fife Arms”. In the afternoon, visit the Royal Lochnagar Distillery located next to the Royal Residence of Balmoral. We will then cross Cairngorms National Park and the Speyside region, famous for its whisky and home to more than half of Scotland’s malt whisky distilleries. We will arrive near the North Coast at Elgin where we will spend the night.

Tuesday, May 12, 2020: Stage 3

Elgin – Portree

Departure from the hotel and visit of the Moray Motor Museum which exhibits a private collection of old and classic cars and motorcycles. We will then head towards the Isle of Skye.
After lunch in a former family hunting lodge in the Highlands, we will reach Portree on the Isle of Skye where we will stay 2 nights in one of the most beautiful hotels on the island.

Wednesday, May 13, 2020: Stage 4

Tour of the Isle of Skye

A day to explore the roads of the Isle of Skye and enjoy all the beauty of this iconic island of Scotland. In the morning, we will visit the Skye Museum of Island life located in the north of the island at Kilmuir. After lunch, we will continue our tour of the island (possibility to stop at Dunvegan Castle) before returning to Portree and enjoy the end of the day in the mythical port of the “Ile Noire”.

Thursday, May 14, 2020: Stage 5

Portree – Glencoe

We will leave the Isle of Skye in the morning for a guided tour of the most emblematic Highland castle: the Eilean Donan Castle. After driving along a part of the Loch Ness, we will have lunch in Fort Augustus. The Caledonian Canal and its many locks will take us to Fort William and the Glenfinnan Viaduct for a short “magical” moment… We will drive to Corran where a ferry will take us through the Linnhe lock before arriving in Glencoe for the night.

Friday, May 15, 2020: Stage 6

Glencoe – Edinburgh

We will take the A82 road that crosses the Glencoe valley and is one of the most beautiful roads in the country with its high peaks, refined landscapes and isolated lochs. We will have lunch in Dunblane before heading to Edinburgh. Dominated by its castle, Edinburgh combines all the charms of Scotland. Visit the old town listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO before a night in the heart of the historic city.

Saturday, May 16, 2020: Stage 7

Edinburgh – Hull

We will leave Scotland in the morning along the east coast before stopping for lunch at Lumley Castle.
At the end of the day, we will board on the ferry at the Port of Hull. Dinner and overnight on board.

Sunday, May 17, 2020
Arrival in the morning at the Port of Zeebrugge in Belgium. End of the rally.

RATES RALLY SCOTLAND 2020

5850 € for a crew of 2 people including :
  • transfer by ferry: from Zeebrugge to Hull (May 9, 2020) and from Hull – to Zeebrugge (May 16, 2020) including the transfer of the vehicle and 2 persons, nights, dinners and breakfasts on board
  • full board accommodation in 4-star hotels
  • the transport of luggage from hotel to hotel, up to a maximum of 2 luggage per crew
  • the road-book
  • the visites, welcome gifts and the rally plates
  • support and technical assistance

The rate does not include :

  • personal expenses and drinks
  • fuel costs, tolls and parking fees
  • single room supplement – on request and according to availability

FORMALITIES

The rally “Scotland 2020” is a tourist rally without any notion of speed or regularity.
The rally is open to vehicles registered before 1990.
The number of cars is limited to 25 max.
